Why you need good photosos

If you are going to be in the entertainment industry then you must, I mean MUST have good photos. Whether you are a professional model, a beginning singer, an actor, a dancer or professional stunt driver, you need your marketing package. That's why good photos are necessary from the beginning. If you are seeking an agent, be prepared when you walk in and have your awesome photos in hand.

With that being said, watch out. It takes years of schooling to become a nurse or an accountant but someome buys a nice camera and all of a sudden they think they are a professional photographer. Not so. Photography is both an art and a science. A true education comes with being a great photographer. (exposure, exposure compensation, reflection, types of lighting, shadowing, aperture, iso, latitude, resolution, shutter speed, and on and on and on) and then of course you have your different types of photography. In Modeling you have Fashion, Editorial, Catalogue, Fashion Print, Fitness and Stock. Actors have Commerical Headshots, Theatrical Headshots and Glamour Headshots. Singers, Bands, Public Speakers, Newscasters and anyone that will be in public view, whether on tv, in magazines, on stage or making public appearances needs promotional photos and that varies greatly from an artistic cd cover representing the bands new music or promo pics to capture the image represtative of the reality stars tv personality.

If you are serious about being in the industry, go to a good photographer. It's awesome that your cousin Susie bought that camera and wants to be your photographer but while cousin Susie learns to use that camera, get your self some great marketable photos the first time. Your agent or manager will have specific needs and only photographers working in the industry usually know how to shoot your for the agent.
